The Island of Maui

In May of 2011, we took a week off to explore the Island of Maui.

Visiting the Lavender Farm

Ava kept running around saying "Halekalaka Buddah".  She couldn't pronounce "Haleakala".

On our way up Haleakala to see the sun set.  We were told that the sun set is just as pretty as the sun rise and since we didn't want to wake up before the sun came up, we decided sun set would be perfect.

While on Maui, we celebrated our 5 year wedding anniversary!
One morning, Daniel went for an early morning run on the beach as I slept in.  When I woke up and looked out from our balcony, I was pleasantly surprised with this!
So sweet!
Happy 5th wedding anniversary to us!

One day we decided to check out the Aquarium.  It was pretty cool compared to the tiny one we have on Oahu.  They even have sharks and a cool walk through water tunnel here.

We even made it out to Hana where we had a little picnic at the beach park out there.  We had a great time and loved the family time together.  Until next time Maui!
